The Bible
We believe that the canonized version of the bible alone, in its entirety, is the divinely inspired, inerrant written Word of God. The scriptures are therefore the only infallible and authoritative standard for our faith and Christian living. 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21

God
We believe God, as he is revealed in the Bible, is the one and only living and true God. He is the Sovereign Creator and Sustainer of all things. This same God, who is Spirit and infinite in being, exists eternally in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit; each one being equal in every divine perfection yet executing distinct but harmonious functions in the work of creation and salvation. Deuteronomy 6:4; Mathew 28:18, 19; John 1:14; Hebrews 1:1-4; Acts 1:8

Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became a man in order to bring salvation to a lost and sinful world. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived His life in perfect obedience to God's will, shed his blood on the cross as a substitutionary atonement for sin and rose bodily from the dead victorious over Satan, sin and death. Jesus ascended to the Father's right hand where he now patiently awaits His return. John 1:1,14,29, 20:20; Philippians 2:5-8; Hebrews 1:1-3; 4:15; 7:25; 10:5-14; 1 Peter 3:18

Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God. That he sinned by voluntarily disobeying God's law and thus he incurred the righteous judgment of a Holy God resulting in both physical and spiritual death which is separation from God. As a result of this rebellion, all mankind with the exception of Jesus Christ, became sinners subject to God's wrath, legally guilty, morally corrupt, unable to save themselves and thus destined for death and eternal condemnation. Genesis 1:26; 2:17; 3:1-24; Romans 3:10-19, 23; 5:12, 13; Ephesians 2:1-3; Revelations 20:11-15

Salvation
We believe that God in His infinite love and patience, according to His rich mercy and abundant grace saves all who truly repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord. True believers are kept by the power of God and therefore cannot totally nor finally fall away from the state of grace, but shall persevere to the end and be eternally saved. John 3:3-18; Ephesians 1:3-14; 2:8,9; Hebrews 7:25; 1 Peter 18:19,23; 1 John 5:11-13

The Holy Spirit
We believe that God has poured out the Holy Spirit, the third divine person in the Trinity, who makes sinners alive in Christ by convicting them of their sins and leading them to repentance and faith. The believer is born again by the regenerative power of the Holy Spirit and thus becomes a child of God. God sanctifies the believer and enables him to live a holy life through the indwelling of His Spirit. The Holy Spirit endows believers with spiritual gifts to be utilized for the edification of other believers and for deeds of service, to the Glory of God. No gift is necessarily given to all believers, but the gifts are variously distributed as decided by the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:9-17; John 14:16-18; 16:7-11; Ephesians 4:30; 5:18; Acts 10:45; 1Corinthians 12:1-11

The Church
We believe that God, by means of His Word and Spirit, has called us out of the world into the fellowship of Christ's body which is the church, both visible and invisible. The invisible church consists of all those who are truly redeemed. Endowed with the gifts of the Spirit, the visible, local church is a gathered, organized, self-governing, worshipping, serving community of baptized believers representing the universal church. The church's mission in the world includes both evangelism and social responsibility. The two ordinances established by Christ to be practiced within the fellowship of the church are Baptism and the Lord's Supper.
